Political Atmosphere

I recently wrote a serialized superhero story, available here: http://www.dcr.net/~stickmak/Stories/Masks.htm

One odd phenomenon I noted was that the more outrageously the fictional politicians behaved, the more people praised me for my realistic portrayal of politics.

I suspect many people in the US are currently very cynical about politics right now.

Folks, I survived Nixon. Boosh hardly registers on that scale.

Yeah, but it was living through Nixon that *made* us cynical about politicians.
