Ford Motor Company has decided to prove that the success of the new Mustang really was just a fluke by having their lawyers send threatening letters to every company with "Mustang" in the name. Said letters instruct the recipient to cease and desist immediately; to send Ford a Very Large Check for damages; and to ship all letterhead paper, flyers and in-house materials with "Mustang" printed on them to Ford for proper disposal.

No word, yet, on how many of the targets of this action actually have nothing to do with cars...

This has been done before-the Our Lawyers Are Bigger Than Your Lawyers bit. McDonald's did this to a little mom-n-pop hardware store-the owner's last name was McDonald..this was back in the late '70's or early '80's(I think). There is-or maybe was-an electronics company named Mustang. IIRC, they made radar detectors and CB antennas..
