Chase Visa
Sep. 23rd, 2009 11:34 amLast month I sent them a payment of $1500. My statement this month credits me with a payment of $15. Now, anyone can make a mistake. However, they seem institutionally determined to refuse to admit a mistake. There is no way to challenge such a mistake in their phone help and no way to talk to a real person. In the online help, when you finally find it, challenges to payments are specifically prohibited.
Several tries were needed to send them an actual message, using the online page created for just that purpose. I finally did so, politely pointing out the mistake and requesting I be credited with the full payment, and that any interest and penalties resulting from their mistake be removed.
At the bottom I politely stated that if this was not done I would transfer my balance to another card and cut that one into pieces.
I would hate to do so. I've had a good relationship with Chase and their interest is the lowest of any of my cards. But I. Have. Had. It.
