Catterwaul
May. 6th, 2015 12:36 pmI'm curious whether anyone else has noted how feline personalities relate to coat colors. These are my personal observations. What are yours?
I actually used the phrase "big, friendly, yellow cat" in a story. My yellow cats have, indeed, seemed to be the most affectionate, though they have also been a bit more demonstrative of their affection. Sometimes painfully so. :-) On reflection, all my yellow cats have been neutered toms.
Black and white cats are also affectionate, but more reserved. Also, my first black and white cat was the most intelligent I've ever had. They also seem to have long, thin bodies and very long tails.
Calicos are the most playful, and are usually also quite affectionate.
I've had several solid black cats (long story involving getting adopted by a pregnant cat who got pregnant again before the first litter was weaned) and their personalities were pretty varied.
So, any confirmations? Rebuttals? Expansions?
