Tom DeLay Just Doesn't Get It
Apr. 10th, 2006 09:00 amHe was indicted on felony charges. He doesn't understand why. He doesn't understand why he was pressured into resigning. He doesn't understand why - as per Texas law - his concealed handgun carry permit was revoked. He doesn't understand why he's going to trial. If convicted, he probably won't understand why.
A fine - if hopefully extreme - example of just how insulated from reality the majority of our lawmakers - regardless of political affiliation - are from the real world.
