Too Much, Too Soon?

stickmakerI did about ten minutes of mowing yesterday morning before realizing I was being stupid. By the time I got back inside the heat and humidity were already both very high. I had lunch, then went out and did some errands for my mother, picked up a prescription and got a Hep-A vaccination (the first of two, with the second coming in a few months). Then I went shopping.
When I flushed the toilet before leaving the house the lift rod broke. I had spare lift rods. However, it broke flush with the top of the dump valve. No problem, I had a spare ball for that. Only it turned out I didn't!
Neither did Lowe's. Neither did Wal-Mart.
Disgruntled, tired and very hot, I went home. I checked, and learned that Yagel's True Value - on the other side of town - was open until 7:00. So, after supper, I went over there and bought the last two of that specific ball valve they had. Got home and completed repairs. Yay!
Except that I was exhausted. I went to bed early, planning to finish the yard this morning. Only I was still exhausted after breakfast. I took a nap. Still exhausted. Maybe this evening I can cut the grass out front, or at least run the string trimmer. Oog...
