AARRGGHH!!
Mar. 2nd, 2014 03:16 pmI am about to dropkick my iMac through the wall. I've been trying to get my year-end summary info from Mastercard and Visa. American Express was easy; I've already entered that info into my spreadsheet.
Mastercard kept telling me the login was busy and to try again later. Until it told me my account had been frozen due to too many login attempts!
Visa was sneakier. I was able to log in, but every attempt to follow links to where it promised I'd find the info led to something else. Until, finally, it opened a window which possessed Firefox. There was no close button or back button. No menu of any kind. Just a window with a small, non-functioning calendar in a sickening yellow background which filled the rest of the screen. I finally had to shut down Firefox and restart it.
Does anyone wonder why I'm trying to pay these cards off and never use them again?!
Addendum: It turned out I actually *already was logged in* to the Mastercard account; there was a link on the error message page to my account page. Bizarre.
Of course, even then getting the info was like pulling my own teeth. It wasn't where they said I'd find it and it didn't save where they said it would, but I'm able to print it out.
Oh, and the downloaded file was named Document.pdf. How descriptive.
