stickmakerI'm working on getting my house ready for the LexFA meeting a week from tomorrow. Unfortunately, the house is having other ideas.
So far I've almost broken my new plasma TV (put a nice nick in the frame but miraculously missed the display itself) and, in the same accident, a window and my new home theater system (hammer bounced erratically). This was after knocking over two lamps and a box of several thousand (well, it seemed like it) finishing nails with said hammer and tossing it away in disgust before climbing down to pick up the nails and lamps. Only the hammer bounced almost exactly back towards me. All this to put up the new FM antenna for my home entertainment system.
I've also been trying to tighten loose doorknobs. Only to discover that all the set screws on those loose knobs either are stripped, or won't actually hold. And the tube of Loctite for Screws I had for just such an emergency has solidified in the tube after one previous use with the cap tightly replaced.
