stickmaker: (Marian Holst Adamant)
I had a lower respiratory infection I thought I was over turn around and come back worse. I felt fine when I woke up Friday, but by the evening (naturally, after the doctor's office closed) I was feeling worse than during the entire six days before.

I got into the doctor's office early Saturday (they're open until Noon that day, fortunately). Like many people with persistent allergies, I get a lot of respiratory infections, so they're used to me. I got put on a Z-Pack and cough pearls. Went to the pharmacy then straight home (didn't even buy anything but the prescriptions; just sat and waited until they were ready) . I took the first dose with lunch ("breakfast" was half a tumbler of whole milk; one symptom is no appetite) and went back to bed. Two and a half hours later I woke, took a break, then went back to bed for another hour and a half. After that I started to feel better. (Sometimes I think if I can just get enough sleep I can recover from anything. Part of the problem in this case was that I wasn't sleeping well during the week previous.)

Today, Monday, I'm still definitely under the weather, but also definitely better. Even my appetite has increased. Here's looking forward to continuing improvement. As well as more daytime sleep. :-)
