More Gun Stuff
Mar. 27th, 2012 07:22 pmWent to the range for the first time in a couple of weeks this afternoon. Tested several handloads in .32 S&W and .357 against factor ammunition, and also shot some .32 H&R and .38 Special.
The .32 S&W load I tested reinforced my previous observation that this cartridge is very sensitive to brand of case. The same load with one brand shot very well. With the other brand I tried, my note was "AOTP" which means "All Over The Place." I couldn't even measure a group, because over half the bullets missed the target!
I suspect the cause it that this is such a small, low-pressure case.
