Bedding Down
Mar. 23rd, 2012 03:19 pmYear before last I had a modest flower bed, the main feature of which was some really tall sunflowers. Last year I decided to see what volunteered. That was a local wildflower which looks like a weed until it produces *HUGE* colorful blooms for a short time. It practically took over.
This year I mulched the old bed heavily, and also put round patches of thick mulch where two stumps were ground out last Fall. On top of the mulch went bagged topsoil. On top of that went a large variety of seeds, according to sun and drainage. Then another, thinner, layer of topsoil.
Now, the waiting...
