Yet More Cat News
Dec. 5th, 2011 09:34 amFeeling a bit better about Michael this morning. He went eagerly to his plate and spent about a minute licking the canned cat food I put out.
How remarkable the world is, that a housecat's favorite prey is deep sea tuna. :-)
Seriously, while he didn't eat enough in that sitting (neither of my cats typically gorge themselves when I put food on their plates, but eat a little off and on through the day) the fact that he did eat, and for a good length of time, is encouraging. I knew he was eating from the changes in his gut I felt when rubbing his belly. However, for the past month he was unenthusiastic about eating, doing it when neither I nor my other cat were around. This is a welcome change, and I hope it continues.
On a less pleasant note, for some reason I woke nearly an hour early (not a gradual return to wakefulness, either, but more like a *POP!*) and couldn't get back to sleep. I did manage to doze a bit before the alarm went off. You'd think that with the steady rain outside this problem would not occur.
