Google Goggles
Jul. 8th, 2007 06:19 pmI discovered, early this afternoon, that Google has forgotten all about me. I tried to log in to a discussion group to add a comment, and it wouldn't let me, even though the computer remembered my login ID and password from previous use.
Google had so thoroughly forgotten me, in fact, that it let me join with the same ID and password as before, which simplifies my record keeping.
Suspicious as to what else they had forgotten, I tried to log in to my AdSense account. Not only would it not recognize me, but when I checked my pages the ads were gone. (I'd received a check, a few months before, proving the account was active and working correctly.) I tried to create a new account, but it wouldn't let me use the original ID (due to it being the same as for my regular account, but with a different password, which didn't bother it when I originally set these up) but I used a secondary ID and that worked fine.
I haven't changed my .htm files, so hopefully, once the approval process is completed the adds will reappear with no further action needed on my part.
Hopefully.
Of course, hopefully, they shouldn't have forgotten me in the first place!!!
