New Cat

Still no major cat-astrophe. Michael and Ringtail ate within touching distance again, with occasional wary looks between them but no open hostilities. Motley waited until Michael left the food plates. Still cautiously hopeful.

Another Death in the Family

My Uncle Jack was not a blood relation (he was married to my father's oldest sibling) but I knew him all my life. I hadn't seen him in a couple of years, because he was living in a VA hospital, slowly regressing through his memories.

He died yesterday, and the funeral is Wednesday.

I remember his two oldest children, during the period immediately following my only blood uncle's death a couple of months ago, discussing Jack. The consensus was he wouldn't last much longer. Looks like they were right.
