The Bleedin' Obvious
Sep. 30th, 2006 09:54 amThere is a house up the street from me with a small airconditioning unit in right the front window. There are two problems with this installation. Because this is on a porch, and there's no guard over the fins, those are all mashed flat. Little or no air can go through the waste heat coils.
Secondly, the unit is installed with a distinct inward tilt, so any condensation which manages to form in this strangled condition will fall on the floor/carpet, whatever.
And it's been like that for years.
