Computer Weirdness

While I was at work this morning the power flickered, briefly. Some computers in the office rebooted. Mine just splashed some static in the headphones.

When I got home, however, my computer was off. Because the UPS it was plugged into had turned off.

The power didn't even vary enough for the display on the microwave to blink. Why would that turn the UPS off?

For now, I'm blaming Microsoft. :-)
