It's a Conspiracy
Aug. 27th, 2007 03:37 pmI wanted to get up around 3:00 tomorrow morning to try and watch the Lunar eclipse, so after the 3:00 PM news today I set two of my computers to doing long tasks and laid down for a nap.
Just as I was dozing off, the phone rang. I grabbed my glasses and checked my clock: 3:09.
The caller was my mother. She wanted to know if I could drive her to a sleep study clinic (just a few blocks from her house) tomorrow and pick her up early Wednesday morning. I was too sleepy to ask why she needed a ride for this and said that was fine.
Again back to bed. Again the phone rang just after I had gone to sleep. The clock read 3:19. This time it was a credit card company, trying to trick me into spend more money. I told them to put me on their Do Not Call List. Then went into the hallway and hit my _makiwara_ so hard I hurt my knuckles.
I'm now sleepier than when I first went to nap, and far too angry to get to sleep again.
