Touch of Magic

Stripped off the old carpet from the bottom third of the basement steps, then removed the rubber matting and linoleum under them. Then pried out or drove flush all the nails, tacks and staples and swept the wood clean. I'll scrub the wood down and treat it with varnish another time.
