Simple, Quick and Satisfying
Dec. 26th, 2022 12:36 pmI wanted a hot lunch this afternoon, given the weather. Unfortunately, last grocery trip I forgot to buy provolone so I could make hot ham and cheese sandwiches. So, I diced two different types of beef jerky and let them soak in 2 cups of gradually heating water with a single beef bouillon cube for about fifteen minutes (to rehydrate the beef) then cooked the ramen as per instructions. The result is beef ramen, hot and tasty, and far better than using the flavor packet which came with the noodles.
Normally, I use a retort pouch of chicken and two chicken bouillon cubes to make chicken ramen, but felt like having something different today. Not sure what I'll make for supper...
