Ford Motor Company has decided to prove that the success of the new Mustang really was just a fluke by having their lawyers send threatening letters to every company with "Mustang" in the name. Said letters instruct the recipient to cease and desist immediately; to send Ford a Very Large Check for damages; and to ship all letterhead paper, flyers and in-house materials with "Mustang" printed on them to Ford for proper disposal.

No word, yet, on how many of the targets of this action actually have nothing to do with cars...

Those are what's being targeted. Including the magazines.

I can see this as only causing only ill will among the fans of the Mustang -- presumably the people that Ford would (or at least should) want to antagonize.
