Bought a desk to use for my new iMac so I can move it into the dining room. The corner computer desk long there has never been high enough (either off the floor or between the work station and overhead shelves) and the iMac is even taller than the Dell monitor. So, new desk. Still not sure what to do with the corner computer work station.

Date: 2006-07-06 10:48 pm (UTC)Freecycle is also per-city or per-area, is typically mailing-list based, and you can give away / receive free things from it, too. Annnnnnd... Google says you have one! It's linked to here, and it's hosted on Yahoo! Groups here. It's not very large (330 people) but it costs zero and the results are historically very good for giving away things. Try it.
Finally, Little Nickel is a local publication consisting entirely of ads. They take classified ads for a very small charge or free (I forget) and has historically been considered a good way to sell something if you just want it gone. I'm sure you have a local version. However, I'd try Frankfort Freecycle first.

It seems to consider Frankfort in its coverage area. You might try that, too.
