Feelin' Better

Gut is much better. However, still having some discomfort. Also, no matter how much I sleep or rest I'm sleepy and tired. Staying home today - and tonight.

Sorry you missed gaming last weekend. We found a town full of corn - massive corn fields, but no birds at all, not even chickens. Scarecrows came to life at night & chased them away, killed moles, weeded & watered & harvested. Close inspection of one found instead of sticks, it was straw stuffed around a skeleton. When town elders got close to dying of old age, they volunteered for the suicide-sacrifice zombie ritual that let them keep caring for their families' land after death. After some arguing we just let them be & didn't report that one back to base.

Next town was bigger & more urban but deserted. Meteor crater nearby, fools had taken the rock into City Hall in the middle of town. Nasty spirit-alien things came out of it at night & devoured everyone. We managed to contain & destroy the nest inside an empty safe stuffed with dynamite, surrounded by protection circles. Then we got the heck out of there & called for a clean-up crew to make sure none had escaped.

Next stop - Reno, Nevada. Or at least that's the plan.
