No Longer Worried About a Cat
Nov. 18th, 2011 03:48 pmMichael was dehydrated and has some mildly worrying things in his blood test. However those are likely symptoms of his not eating.
Since he ate this morning, and had no problem with the cat pudding they gave him at the vet's he's probably okay.
Vet gave him a huge dose of saline subcutaneously, and cat pudding mixed with water from a large syringe. He had no problems swallowing.
He has definitely lost weight - over two pounds - but if he keeps eating and drinking he should be fine.
Update: I was a bit worried when he barely sniffed at the canned food I put out this afternoon. However, I later noticed him eating out of the dry food bowl, not quickly but for a long time.
