I Will Never Buy Another Whirlpool Water Heater

It will take considerable persuasion for me to by another Whirlpool *anything*.

Pilot light won't stay lit on water heater. (It's not a hot water heater; it's a cold water heater.) This (Saturday) morning started calling. The folks I usually turn to wanted $175 just to send someone out to see if they had the part for the model. His cell phone battery was already fading, and went out before I could give him the address.

Second number I call said they no longer do that work, but gave me another number. Which gave me the Whirlpool hotline (which is on the side of the appliance). Woman in India said they can get the part to me Tuesday, and I have to install it myself.

Third number I called had me read pertinent info from the labels on the water heater, said he'd check to see if they have the part. He called back in just a few minutes; it's in Shelbyville but they can get it here and have it installed today.

I might just make gaming, tonight, it depends on when I can get hot water again.

You know, you can still bathe and clean the specific clothes you need without hot water... people did it for ages!

Aren't you supposed to be really good on this survival stuff? :P
