Old Newspaper Comic Strips

stickmakerGot a new bee in my bonnet. Looking for collections of old newspaper comic strips. Online, or on DVD or CD.
For several months, while a student at the University of Kentucky, I would go to the microfilm archives in the main library once or twice a week and look at old newspapers. Fascinating. Besides the history and culture, the comics were wonderful.
Besides the well-known ones - some of which continue today - there were strips famous then but largely forgotten today. Such as _S'Matter Pop?_.
