stickmakerI keep being surprised to learn that there was a revival of the series in 2005. I think this is because A) I've never seen any of it, B) I never saw any commercials for it at the time and C) I never hear anyone talk about it. The only mention is in Wikipedia entries and such.
Was it really that bad?
I remember Darrin McGavin being enthusiastic about an earlier attempt at a revival, which would have had him reprising his role but with Carl's nephew - also a reporter - taking over the lead. The first episode would have Carl muttering to himself "It's starting again."
That sounds like it would have been a good series.
