Duplicate Weeding

stickmakerDue to several reasons, I have long put up with having duplicate copies of some text (.txt, .doc, .rtf and a few other formats) files. Mostly just one extra copy each, but for some as many as nine. I am now doing a major weeding, using a utility to find duplicated identical files in my Data folder.
They aren't large per each, but there are literally thousands of them. Or, there were. I'm about half through and down to about 1300.
That should free a few Megs...

Date: 2009-04-29 10:26 pm (UTC)One of the few reasons I keep Windows around is that ACDSee has a very useful and handy "find duplicates" function.
