I actually got a lot done yesterday morning, despite feeling pretty bad. I had to set my alarm early to get up in time to get my car to Goodyear to have the flat tire tended to. Turns out there was an unidentified metal object in the tread and - the killer - a screw in the sidewall. Tire was replaced, under warranty. My only cost was buying a Road Hazard Warranty for the new tire. I was only there about an hour. However, I felt so tired I actually dozed off in the chair while waiting!

I next picked up my MacBook Pro from the repair shop. They said it just needed a new battery. We'll see.

I next did the grocery shopping for myself and my mother. After dropping hers off I announced that was it until Monday at the earliest. In fact, I told her I was going to go home and to bed. That didn't sit well with Mother, who wanted me to take her to get her new glasses, but I just couldn't do any more then.

True to my word, once I got home I put the groceries away, did a couple of other things, then climbed into bed. After about a half hour nap I had lunch, then got back into bed for another half hour nap.

I puttered around the house for a few hours. I took my temperature a few times and I did, indeed, have a low fever. Then, in spite of those earlier naps, I got back into bed around 6:30. Roughly three hours later I roused myself, gave the cats a treat, put on pajamas and went properly to bed.

I got up a bit after 9:00 the next morning, feeling much better. Maybe I'm finally on the mend.

However, some of my online friends pointed me to articles about a "super cold" going around which lasts for up to three weeks. Oog...
