Jan. 31st, 2020 12:02 pmBumped my head on the corner of a bookshelf. Don't think it's serious, but it did bleed and it is still hurting, and it's on the top of my head where I can't see it clearly, so I want to get it checked. My usual doctor's office is double booked, and the Little Clinic at Kroger's can't see me until 12! Must be a lot of people sick today...
This is the closest thing I've had to a medial emergency in decades and the first time my doctor's office hasn't just said "Come on in!"
Back. The got me in over a half hour early. Head still sore but Nurse Practitioner says it doesn't need anything more than antibiotic ointment unless it gets worse.
Update: Head still fine, except the dizzy spells I've been having all week are continuing, though more mildly. This is nothing new, and is due to a combination of inner ear damage from childhood ear infections, and my gut acting up.
However, I feel exhausted. I went to bed early and slept late, but I had trouble getting to sleep (finally had to take a second 3 mg dose of melatonin and a generic Benadryl because I kept scratching myself awake) so I apparently didn't get enough sleep. Argh.
Right now, trip to Lexington tonight is uncertain.
