I have a headache.
My mother called to tell me to get on Amazon and order a probiotic recommended by her GI Physician's Assistant and which isn't available locally. "It's VSL3," she said. She even used phonetics for the letters then said "...and the number three." To be fair, she wrote down what the PA told her.
Turns out it's actually VSL#3, and it's no longer made. However, after the confusion was cleared up I discovered that the current version is available under the product name Visbiome.
However, Amazon then started acting up. Mother wanted it shipped directly to her. Among other problems, two pages after the one where I entered her address - which said her phone number as optional - it wouldn't go any further. No explanation, just a statement that I needed to enter her address, which I had already done. Fortunately there was a link to that form. Once back there I saw a message sternly telling me that it actually did want her phone number. Argh.
The final weirdity was on the confirmation page, where Amazon gave two shipping options which were character-for-character identical. I just randomly chose one. :-)
