The Rain is Falling

 

Just now, pretty much any place in this area which is near a stream or standing body of water is prone to flooding. Most other areas are prone to flash flooding. With more rain on the way. 

 

There are supposed to be thunderstorms tonight, some possibly accompanied by hail. 

Update: We didn't get as much rain in my neighborhood as expected, but we did get a lot, and from the alerts last night some got what was forecast and maybe more. It's also still very windy. I found a neighbor's lawn umbrella in my driveway when I let the cats out this morning. I had to fight the wind to put it back over the fence before they'd leave the shelter under the back porch. (Bigscarything!)

The Kentucky River flows north. I suspect that when the rain which further south gets here, we'll be past flood stage.
