I Have the Weirdest Accidents...
Feb. 3rd, 2013 11:21 amOpened a new bottle of vitamins, grabbed the pull tab on the security seal and pulled. The tab tore off, leaving the seal in place. No problem; I grabbed a handy pair of scissors, punctured the seal and got a finger hold to tear it out. Pill out, bottle closed, mission accomplished.
Then I noticed the diamond-shaped patch of maroon fabric on the stove. And the matching hole in my shirt. As well as a smaller but similar hole in my t-shirt, and the small white diamond on the back of the maroon swatch. Somehow, the scissors had closed before I put them down and cut my shirt and t-shirt.
No marks on my skin. I never felt a thing. Fortunately, it's an old shirt... but until now, it was intact.
