Silliness Continues
Nov. 24th, 2010 12:56 pmWorking on a story just for the fun of it, a tongue-in-cheek story which is part _Warehouse 13_, part _Monsters vs. Aliens_ and part _Wild, Wild West_. (Plus a bunch of other stuff.) It's told largely from the viewpoints of a young woman who literally grew up there, and a new guard. She's taken it upon herself to show him the ropes. Such as how to feed the mastodon. Here's one exchange:
"Uhm, is Dr. Gavett-Jones male or female?" said Parks, uncertainly.
"Both, actually," said Betty. "Accident with an experimental teleporter."
"Huh?"
"They used to be two people, who got merged."
"They shouldn't have volunteered to be transported before the bugs were worked out."
"Oh, they were running the machine. The poor rat simply vanished, along with most of the machine."
