PETA bought two humane crustacean killing devices to highlight the cruel practice of dropping live lobsters into boiling water. They were going to demonstrate these devices at a huge fundraiser at the Child and Family Resource Center in Tucson, Ariz. However, the devices didn't arrive in time, and hundreds of live crustaceans were dropped into boiling water for the fundraiser's main course.
The humane thing, of course, would have been to let the lobsters go (though not in Arizona) and serve something else.
