Palin Backlash
Sep. 1st, 2008 04:39 pmIt's almost amusing, hearing the Republicans fall all over themselves trying to spin the things recently uncovered about Governor Palin. The responses I've heard aren't actually responses. So far they seem to be ignoring the malfeasance and financial matters and are focusing on trying to keep her presentable to the hard right wingers. One of their tactics it to attack those asking questions about her most recent child (as others have pointed out, her account of the delivery not only makes no sense but borders on the impossible) by claiming they're anti-family.
Please note that I have no dog in this fight. I'm not going to spread rumors about the woman, though I would definitely like clarification of things which others have brought up. The problem is that the GOP isn't clarifying. In fact, some of what they're doing is the opposite of clarifying.
The only person in either party I like so far is the Democratic Veep candidate. I will most likely vote Libertarian again, if only as a protest against both the major parties, but I won't even bother checking into who is running until right before the election.
