Just passed 71k words on my hard SF first extrasolar colony novel.

They Only Know What They See on TV...

Was at a gun shop Saturday, and overheard a young man who was dissatisfied with the weight of a gun. He asked to see one of the all-plastic ones. And didn't seem to believe the shop owner when told there was no such thing.
