Not Doin' That Agin
Sep. 11th, 2006 07:00 pmNot if I have any say in the matter. My roof started leaking in the back bedroom/office during the storm last night, and resumed during the showers today. So after work I climbed on the roof and took a look around. I found a raised shingle, apparently lifted by the wind and held aloft by a partly pulled-out nail. I put caulk under the shingle and pounded the nail flat. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
If it doesn't, I'm paying for a professional to go up there. My roof is *very* steep, and the lowest point it both twice my height off the ground and mostly blocked by shrubs. I needed several tries to find a way to get up there, and once on the roof had to be very, very careful not to slide off.
