It's always reassuring when the doctor writes "Good!" on the results of your latest cholesterol test. :-)

There was a wonderful television show. It started in black and white, later switching to color. Sylvester McCoy joined the cast towards the end. It was intended for children, to teach them science and other things, but its charm and imagination made it popular with adults, as well. In spite of a tiny budget, the dedicated crew managed to produce clever plots and imaginative effects. The theme song is still familiar to millions. Yet it was canceled, regardless of long-term popularity, by a BBC manager who effectively said "Well, they've already done everything, haven't they?" As if because he couldn't imagine anything more to to with it no-one else could, either. Since it was a "children's show" the tapes were simply reused, and very little remains of its early days. Yet even today people consider it to be ground-breaking and remember it with fondness, accepting even the flubs and foibles as a necessary part of the program.

I am speaking, of course, of _Vision On_.
