Novel Teaser: Woud You Read This Book?

Its past a mystery, its present uncertain, its future to be determined, this small planet appears inviting, but their plans call for a different destination. However, when the colonists try to resume their trip their experimental FTL drive misbehaves, placing them in a situation where they can't leave and can't maintain a stable orbit. Unable to escape the planet's gravity they must quickly find a place to put down. Forced to land short of their goal on a world they know nothing about, can they unravel the puzzle of their new home before the tyrannical government they escaped finds them? And does this world have any connection with the reason human authorities have been sabotaging all attempts to leave Sol system?

There was no excitement to the blurb.
The story itself sounds good, but the blurb won't hold anyones attention long enough for them to find out....It might work if you tighten it up some...you are working to tell the first part of the story in a short space...when to make a teaser you need to hit a high point of the story without revealing too much of the story.
