Stupid Driver Tricks
Jan. 6th, 2006 09:01 amI'm trying to figure out if this was deliberate, or simply someone completely unaware of the consequences of their actions.
I was on the way to work this morning, half a block from a cross street I needed to get on, and signaling a left lane change so I could be ready for the upcoming left turn. The moment I put my turn signal on, the woman in the car behind me swerved into the left lane and pulled up beside me, and "flew formation" so I couldn't complete the lane change. I had to hit the brakes and slow to 15 MPH in a 35 zone to get far enough behind her to safely move over. Fortunately, there was no traffic behind us.
Whether that was planned or accidental, the result was incredibly rude. I suspect she meant to do it, because when I pulled up beside her two lights later she refused to look at me.

Stupid driver tricks..
Date: 2006-01-06 05:35 pm (UTC)Two jobs ago, I got elected to drive a 2 ton truck with about 4000 pounds of scrap iron in it solely because I knew how to drive a standard shift..I had a VW Bug. The largest thing I'd driven up to that point was a Caprice. I don't recommend learining to drive large trucks this way-overloaded with scrap iron, and down narrow streets to the junkyard. I no doubt scared other people,(I scared myself driving it),and probably got quite a few cussings as well..Scott
