stickmaker | Another New Appliance (Reply)

Well, my laptop is in the shop, awaiting a new motherboard. I had to replace my dishwasher about a month ago. (Thanks, Kim, for finding what may have been the only portable wishdasher in Frankfort.) Now my refrigerator has gone out.

Oh, it still runs, but it's barely cooling. I noticed a problem with the icemaker last week. Now the stuff in the freezer is thawing.

Fortunately (!) the weather is well below freezing. I put all the stuff that's supposed to be frozen in a cooler and put that under my back porch, with the lid open. Also fortunately, I had severable of those reusable gel packs in the freezer. They are also in the cooler.

I've already bought a new combo refrigerator from Lowe's, but they only had stainless in stock and I got a rain check on the ice maker. This refrigerator is apparently a new model (it was on sale) with other colors and an icemaker available later. I was told that as soon as an appropriate icemaker came in it would be installed at no additional charge.

Lowe's uses a third-party delivery service, and they are supposed to be by to install the new fridge and remove the old one tomorrow. No idea when.
