stickmaker | Not Enough Sleep (Reply)

Got to gaming in Lexington last night for the first time in a month. Had fun, got home late. Went to bed a bit later. Planned to sleep in.

However, a bit after 8 I dreamed the doorbell rang. I knew it was probably a dream, but I got up and checked, anyway. Nobody at the door. While I was up I fed the cats, then went to the john.

As I was exiting the bathroom the phone rang! Wrong number. Or maybe an unusually rude telemarketer. I let the answering machine pick up and they hung up rather than leave a message.

Finally got back in bed. Before I could return to sleep the folks clearing - and grinding - dead limbs about half a block away (as they have been for a couple of days) started their grinder. No sleep for a while. I eventually dozed, only to have my calico return from her early morning rounds and attack my feet. I finally gave up at 10.
