Apparently, police and school administrators in Maryland can't distinguish between fact and fiction. Which explains a lot, come to think of it...
Addendum: The police and school are now saying all this was due to concerns over the teacher/author's mental health. However, the phrasing they're using doesn't fill me with reassurance. Hopefully, more details will emerge soon.
