Mysterious Call...

stickmakerMy phone rang about 10:30 this morning. The caller ID said WIRELESS CALLER and I didn't recognize the number. I let the answering machine pick up, but they hung up without saying anything. I figured it was a telemarketer.
Half an hour later my Mother called (the Caller ID was for her and her home phone number) and wanted to know where I had been earlier. Confused, I said I had been right there at home, and wondered if she had dialed someone else by mistake. She explained she had dropped her car at Goodyear and called me on her cell phone for a ride. "I got your answering machine so I hung up. I figured you were out somewhere. I called (a neighbor she's friends with) to come get me." (Note that she didn't bother trying my cell phone.)
I told her I had no way of know of knowing it was her (see above) but it wasn't registering. "I've been planning this for two weeks!" (Strongly implying I'd interfered with plans she hadn't told me about until then.)
Anyway, I'm committed - and forewarned - to taking her back there when the work on her car is finished.
