A Bit of Convenience Missing
Oct. 18th, 2012 12:00 pmWhy the *BLEEP!* does iTunes not allow at least pasting in data fields?! At least in the Store search!! Have you tried typing "Felix Mendelssohn" in correctly by hand?!
(Okay, I'm dyslexic and thus have trouble with things like Mendelssohn. Even for most people, it would be a lot more convenient.)

Date: 2012-10-20 02:29 pm (UTC)This has happened with all three of my Apple computers, through several iterations of OS X. I have never been able to - as one example - copy and paste information when editing things in Get Info. Or anywhere else in iTunes. I thought this was true for everyone. When I've mentioned it before (other places; this is the first time in LJ) there hasn't been any particular reaction. As if this were an accepted "feature."
Actually, I started using iTunes on Windows machines, and couldn't paste there, either. (I think; it's been several years since I used iTunes on a Windows machine, but my impression is I've never been able to do this.)
Hmmmm... This is the same account that I started in Windows. (I actually need to figure out how to deauthorize those two Windows machines, neither of which I now have access to.) Could there be some fluke involved from that?

Date: 2012-10-20 05:52 pm (UTC)Okay, thanks to spazzkat I now have a new way to search iTunes Store and a solution for the previous problem, using the Edit menu. I still don't know why you can't use the mouse menus in the search fields in iTunes Store Power Search page.
