I was watching the Curiosity landing last night, using a link NASA stated flatly was the live feed from Mission Control. As atmospheric entry was underway, however, I realized it was actually several minutes behind. (An online friend cheered the landing while I was still watching the entry.) Looking around the window, at the bottom right hand corner I found lost among the other controls a tiny button labeled GO LIVE. I gritted my teeth and kept watching the sequence I already had up.

NASA? Do NOT tout a video as a live feed, then require them to do something else to get the live feed. Especially when doing that something else requires knowing to click a barely noticeable - though accurately labeled - link.

Oh, well; Curiosity is down and working.

At least, I hope it is. None of the NASA Curiosity links I bookmarked have updated since last night, and doing a search shows only links to pre-landing (in some cases pre-launch) items. Am I just not looking in the right places, or is everyone sleeping in after the late night?
