Living in the Future
Jan. 25th, 2012 11:00 pmOne of the things I most appreciate about modern life is the easy accessibility to music. Not only can we listen to what we want pretty much any time or place we want, but the variety of what's available is incredible.
I love variations on a theme. I have six versions of "Estudiantina," including one on Novachord (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novachord ). I have _fourteen_ versions of "As Time Goes By" (though I'm still trying to find the barbershop quartet version I once heard an excerpt of).
In fact, for anyone with an Internet connection and a working credit card, the most likely reason for not acquiring a copy of a piece of music you like is not having the right title. (There are a number of pieces with titles not actually in the lyrics or obvious from them or the music, such as "For What It's Worth").
I love music. And this is an era for music lovers.
