Was hungry and found I was too low on lunchmeat for a whole sammich. Then I remembered my Emergency Bacon!

Omm-nom-nom-nom!!

Let's hear it for shelf-stable bacon! (Wait; when I was a kid, wasn't _all_ bacon shelf-stable?!)

Bacon freezes just fine. I have 4 3 lb packages of the "bacon ends and pieces" that Winco sells so cheap sitting in the freezer.

Lots of foods that were originally created for the purpose of being shelf-stable are now mainly made in refrigeration-requiring versions.
