Strange Accident

stickmakerI was driving through my neighborhood on the way home from Saturday night gaming when I saw something moving in the bushes to the right. I actually drove by it before I realized it was someone on the ground waving. I drove back around to see what was going on. Back on that street and just short of the scene, I saw someone calmly walking towards me, so I figured there shouldn't be anything serious going on. However, as soon as I stopped a guy (think it was a teenager; couldn't get a good look) started screaming for help. He had backed his car off the road and somehow gotten a leg caught under the left front wheel.
Both doors were open and the hood was up. I couldn't find my flashlight, so I grabbed my cell phone and dialed 911. He was yelling for me to put the brake on, so while talking to the emergency operator I got in his car through the passenger door, which wasn't easy, and did so. I held the brake until someone else showed up and put a rock under a wheel. (The car never moved.)
I had to turn the radio off to hear the 911 operator, who said help was on the way but could I give them a better idea of where the accident was. I managed to clarify the position a bit. The engine died shortly after and emergency vehicles were arriving, so I left the car. My car was in the way, so I moved it, but stayed to see if they needed my help. However more emergency vehicles were arriving and they needed the room. The 911 operator said I could hang up, so I got back in my car and drove on home.
