Disarmed Chair
Oct. 13th, 2005 03:33 pmThe furniture in our new building is horrible. In the first place, the people who selected are all below average height, and I'm a bit above. But beyond the fitting problems, it's been falling apart practically since the day we moved in.
Just now, the adjustable arms on the chair dropped down, like they all do. When I pulled them back up a plastic grommet fell out, and I noticed the right arm was cocked at an odd angle. Further tugging resulted in the entire arm coming off.
This is my _second_ chair, too. The first developed splits in the arm covers. The replacement had a crack in the base of the right arm when I got it which has gradually grown worse until it finally gave 'way completely.
